2.1 Do you have a Jabber account?

Jabber has become rather popular as an instant messaging technology. Several sites use it, but often not under the names “Jabber” or “XMPP”. Examples:

Google Talk uses Jabber. If you have a Gmail address, you can use it as a Jabber ID. See Account settings, for Google-specific configuration.
LJ Talk (of Livejournal) uses Jabber. Your Jabber ID is ‘ljusername@livejournal.com’.
